I had a great day trekking with Sebastian and Camilo. They encouraged us every step of the way. They were very friendly and supportive.

We had an excellent first experience with Howlanders doing the Base Hike in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.  Our driver (Patricio) picked us up on time, transported us to the starting point promptly and safely,  and returned us to our hotel the same way.  Our guides (Magda and Danny) were very experienced and knowledgeable and kept up a good pace with probably fewer stops than we would have made on our own, but this was necessary to ensure we got to checkpoints on time.  The trek was strenuous (especially the last mile with a steep climb and later descent over rocks and boulders) and poles were necessary, but the view at the end was well worth it.  Fortunately, we had excellent weather with no rain and only slight winds.  Based on this first experience, we would not hesitate to use Howlanders services again, although for a less strenuous trek.  That one was our limit.

The trek to Base of Torres is a very difficult one. However, the guides Fransico and Camillo made the experience possible. They were constantly making sure everyone is well equipped, gave a run down of what is the trek like ahead, at every stop. Fransico was very warm, friendly and more importantly kept up the pace so everyone could enjoy the view at the summit. I don't think we would have completed such a strenous trail if not the hard work and friendly nature of the guides.

A great day out. Picked up at time stipulated, welcoming. Guides were great, not over the top or intrusive. Answered all our questions and provided insight into their own experiences on the Towers. Highly recommended and would book with them again.

Lovely experience. Pablo and Alex were superb team. They were very helpful. I left my bag in the van, and Alex got the driver to bring them back to me. Alex was such a nice person. Our guides Leo and Daniel were fantastic! Super helpful, informative, and reasonable. They had a recommendation for all our questions. The speed of track was allowing me to feel part of the group as I’m a bit slower and since that was not an issue was rewarding for me. I would definitely recommend them. Sin embargo, el guia se devolvió por nosotros y pudimos hacer el tour. El guiado fue muy completo y te dan todo lo necesario, como crampones (para incierno) y palos de trekking. Daniel y Alex son grandes guías y personas. Hubo dos grupos según el ritmo que podían seguir los clientes y ambos llegaron a la base. Además, explican muy bien los detalles del recorrido y de Torres. Repetiría.

Hi. Howlanders paced the tour at the ability of our group, encouraging us when the going got tough. Bilingual guides were fun and informative. It was unclear to me if the guides should be tipped. I feel really bad.

Leo, Pablo, and Patrick were amazing guides—very calm and reassuring in a really complicated situation due to the weather. They made sure everyone was safe and ok! It was disappointing to not make it to the mirador, but they did an amazing job.

We had the best time! The guides were knowledgable and fun, this is a hike that is well marked enough that you can do it without a group but I enjoyed doing it with a group as you received local information you wouldn't get normally. Had the best time!

A great trek to the base of the towers in Torres del Paine. After a slight mix up with the pick up time we had a fantastic day with great guides who were very willing to go at the pace needed by the group. Only improvement could be to spend a little longer at the towers viewpoint ( especially as we all walked quickly and we're there well before the time expected by the guide). Still a great day out and thoroughly recommend.

The guides were excellent. The route was very strenuous, much more than we expected. We may be almost 70 but we are avid hikers and athletic. That said, this hike is not for the faint of heart. A good part is very steep. The group we were with were excellent, very supportive, and they all thought it was hard too. But this was really too strenuous 
for us, though we made it to the top and we're not the last down.  We wouldn't dissuade anyone for trying this but be aware that you need to be in tip top shape and it is a very long day.

Wow, wow, wow!!! Where do I start? I want to emphasize how incredibly stupendous this tour was and I would have not had this incredible experience if it were not for our tour guides: Diego & Pancho! Truly incredible. I can not express the sincere, down to earth, fun spirited, and attentive these men were. True experts of the trail, park, location, and activity! My words can not emphasize my gratitude, joy, and pleasure I had with this experience. If I could, I would give this tour a 100 star rating. I highly, highly, highly recommend Diego and Pancho. Best tour guides I’ve ever experienced with all my international travels!

The local crew Pablo, Paulina, & Jaime (I think that’s the driver’s name) were excellent! They went above & beyond making sure everyone was safe & taken cared of. The weather was not good so they provided suggestions before to bring a change of clothes which made the ride home much more comfortable. They were enthusiastic & even in the bad weather made the experience positive

If you want amazing guides and even more amazing views this is the trek for you! Daniel and Francisco were both fantastic - they were welcoming and friendly, taught us a bit about the incredibly interesting geology of the region, and had a good focus on safety as well as enjoyment. We were given crampons and trekking poles for the snowy summit. The guides were also very punctual picking us up from our hostel.

The tour was great and guides were very helpful and gave good information. Driver was really great while taking us on those icy roads.

We had excellent guides who led us safely up and down the mountain in early May. It was a spectacular experience with amazing view of the forest and Torres Del Paine. If you are going this late in the season, you'll be wearing crampons and do need to be willing to walk at a decent pace to ensure you walk in daylight. We cut it close and would not like to be walking in the dark! Thanks Howlanders, highly recommend this operator.

Experiência muito boa, os guias juaquin e Ricardo eram muito simpáticos, competentes, e atenciosos com o bem estar de todos. Não conseguimos chegar a base da torre porque o tempo estava muito ruim, muita chuva e frio. Mas foi oferecida a possibilidade de continuar mais um pouco ou retornar, alguns tentaram mais logo voltaram,  mas sempre com um guia atencioso ao lado.

La preocupación de los guías fue excelente ,así como la responsabilidad y la puntualidad lo recomiendo al 100%

The information send by Argentina partner (Patagonia Dreams) to our whatsapp are all in Spanish. So hope they will look into this matter if they know we are international travellers who doesn't know Spanish. 

Partner in Chile are good (WCircuitPatagonia). The guide are all good and speak English.

Trekking exigente y no recomendable para quien no está mínimamente en forma. La llegada a la base de las Torres compensa todos los esfuerzos. Los guías locales, Nicolás y Sebastián, excelentes y muy profesionales así como los servicios del operador local.

Excellent organization.  Stunning trek.  Concerned by high number of people on the trail.

Overall it was a great experience! Very easy communication the day before and morning of pickup via WhatsApp message. The only real downside was that the guides spoke very basic English and didn’t always translate from what they explained in Spanish. Booking this way was definitely easier than trying to arrange transport to and from this very busy hike.

The local tour operator provided an excellently managed hike with three team members, one leading and one providing tail end cover with a third member providing support for those who had to drop out part way through. It should be noted that although the hike is not rated as difficult it should be, as although the moraine climb at the end of the hike is difficult, to get there involves a considerable amount of climbing then descending, only to have to climb again. The total amount of steep climbing on both the outward and return journeys is substantial and should not be discounted although when you get there it's worth the effort.

Great hike, spectacular scenery and super organisation. Francisco, Diego, Fabian and Pancho were fabulous guides - informative, helpful and encouraging when the going got tough!

The experience could not have been better. The guides, Daniel, Fabian and Bastian, were experts on the area and trekking. Daniel also spoke English fluently and kindly repeated all information shared in both Spanish and English. This hike is difficult but well worth it, and the guides were very encouraging, giving high fives all around when we made it to the glacier lake. The views are immaculate and the hike is well worth doing, I very highly recommend it.

Everything about the tour was amazing. Great prior communication, timely pickup and drop-off for the tour at our doorstep and very friendly and approachable staff. The tour staff was so amazing that they were making sure that they handled the subgroups walking at t different paces really well. For example, one of my friends was struggling to complete the hike and was walking slow but they made sure that one of the guides always walked with her and kept her spirits up. She was very happy by the encouragement she received from them.

Javier was an amazing guide. I was picked up from my Airbnb at 6:15am sharp. We had a snowy trail but felt guided by and cared for by Javier. It took up 4h to the base of the torres and then another 4h to come down. All in all an amazing day hike. Highly recommended!

Great organization, staff and service and the hike was beautiful.

We had an amazing time during our hike to Base of Torres del Paine. Our guides were very good and helpful, translating in english everything said in spanish and taking care of us. It can be a tough hike for some people, but if you are relatively fit it would ok for you. The views during the hike are like nowhere else, an experience that will stay in our memory. 

An unbelievable hike that ended up being the highlight of our holiday - should not be missed!

I booked the tour for base. I didnt have information on when and where the tour will pick me up from. I kept calling and messaging howlanders to share this information with me. I didnt get any email and message till late night day before the tour. It was hard to find cellular network or internet connection in Chile specially in Torres Del Paine National Park. I had only 2 days in the park, and I had tours planned for the second day. If I waited for howlanders to get back to me and they didnt then I would have ended up wasting my whole day and would not have been able to do the hike to the base. So I decided to book another tour with my hotel, where paid much more for the tour. I am fighting for the refund of my tour with howlanders.

This tour was an amazing experience and would highly recommend Howlanders to anyone looking for a guided tour. I was the only English speaker in the group but felt very included  and they all spoke English well. The tour itself was stunning. Do prepare for rapid changing weather!

Los guías muy amables y el lugar increíble. Pero debería especificarse quizás un poco más que es necesario un estado físico bueno para poder hacer el trekking bien y no ir penalizando al grupo todo el rato. Incluso varios tuvieron que abandonar casi desde el inicio.
Gente que al kilómetro dos ya iba sufriendo!!

It is tough for beginners but it is worth it...the last 45 - 60 minutes is really Tough BUT i am glad i did it! My FIRST HIKE of my Life...believe it or not and i am 55+!! It is easy-peasy for 40 and below and who is in generally good health....4-4.5 hour ascent / 3-3.5 hour descent

We have only one remark: as I am 194 cm tall, the legroom of the seats on the bus was too short.

Actual tour was great. But communication and organization with the local team was awful. We were stopped by the police near the park entrance because the driver didn't have a commercial driving license. After 20 minutes of trying to find a different route into the park to get around the police, the guides cancelled the tour and drove everyone back to Puerto Natales. No instructions were given about getting refunds.  Thirty minutes later, the tour agency found a new driver to take us, but didn't contact everybody who had signed up (including me) even though we had been in contact on WhatsApp earlier that day. Other passengers informed me that the tour was back on and I was able to get on the bus with them. I was lucky to even get to go.

Excellent.  Michael and the other guide were exceptional guides. Everything went smooth.

All went well, it was a superb hike! Weather was perfect, and all the logistic went well, comunication flawless. Nothing to add, unless that Torres del Paine is amazing!

Well worth the slog of the last part of the return journey for that magnificent view of the Torres ! The guides were fantastic, we felt very safe with them , but it would have been nice to have a little more English spoken .

Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable y con un nivel de exigencia mental y físico importante. 
El Trekking tiene una dificultad muy alta en el tramo final tanto en el ascenso como de descenso. Creo que ha faltado información sobre la exigencia y sobre las condiciones meteorológicas que te puedes encontrar en Noviembre.
Al final, uno se siente satisfecho de haber conseguido subir y bajar aunque he sufrido bastante en la zona de la Morrena.

A experiência foi maravilhosa, mesmo com o tempo nublado. As guias foram super legais e acessíveis, respeitando o tempo de cada um. 

Our 3 guides, Marion/Antonio/Deborah were all great and made a difficult  situation with the park ranger strike in Chile, workable.  The modified route and hiking on the Cerro Paine route to view the Torres del Paine was doable with their assistance and inclusion of all the group members.  
It would have been good though if we were told to bring our lunch (since it was supposed to be provided, but wasn’t,  during the trek) and we just ate our snack bars for lunch during a difficult hike.  Also, we were told the we could refill our water bottles in the creek but we never got to do that either.  Both adequate water and lunch were needed during this difficult route and advanced notice and preparation for this by the tour company, would have helped a lot

It was an absolutely amazing experience! The Base of Torres hiking path was closed due to a national strike of park rangers in Chile, but the agency provided us with a great alternative, going up the Cerro Paine, which gave us a perfect view of the torres and the landscape.
It is important to know that it is not a "walk in the park"-kind of hike, it is physically demanding, so be prepared! The Cerro Paine is 1300 metres quite steep walking up and down (7 km up, 7 km down again). The base of the towers is less steep but longer and has some very steep and demanding parts, as was explained to us. So come prepared for a physical challenge, but the view from the top is worth it all!

WOW! This goes down in my life history and one of the greatest days of hiking ever. After a beautiful sunrise drive into the park, greeted by Emus and Guanacos, we arrived to the trailhead. The towers were glowing in the morning sun and we knew we’d be up there in the afternoon to gaze at their beauty!

The hike is not easy with elevation gain, rocks, and some windy passes. That said the views change throughout the hike and it’s very diverse. Big open views at the beginning, epic bench-cut trail into a valley and down by a powerful river, quiet spots in the forest, then steep rocks up to the base and BOOM one of the most stunning views ever. A blue glacial lake with magnificent towers shooting out of the earth and “towering” over and already incredible landscape.

You feel small but powerful. Humbled yet filled with pride. I was joyful and then sad to leave. Also the group was great and the guides were enjoyable to be around and get to know. Good communication regarding the logistics, and everything went smooth. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to do this again someday.

Bon choix pour ceux qui voyagent en solo. On veut encore plus, mais c'est, quand même, une rando fortement recommandé lorsque on n'a pas trop de temps pour visiter Torres del Paine (merci Howlanders pour m'avoir conseille de prendre le Tour). J'ai fait parti d'un groupe de 12 personnes et nous avons eu 2 guides très cool. Le parcours c'est assez facile même si on est pas habituées a la montagne, avec quelques parties un peu plus dur. A faire, sans doute, au moins une fois !

El principio de la ruta es muy fácil, pero llegado a un punto se complica y el tramo final tiene mucha pendiente. Nuestro grupo era muy pequeño, 4 personas, y salimos solo con un guía, un crack!
