Perito Moreno Kayak Tour

Pick-up in El Calafate

If you choose the pick-up option, you’ll be picked up at your accommodation in El Calafate. Once the whole group is gathered, we’ll head to the meeting point inside Los Glaciares National Park, which we’ll reach in an hour and a half. There, we’ll meet up with the travelers who booked the option without transfers.

Los Glaciares National Park

If you selected the option without pick-up, you must go directly to the meeting point, located at the lower parking lot of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting to assist you with the park entrance purchase if needed. Once the whole group is ready, there will be a safety and orientation briefing so you can learn the basics of kayaking and fully enjoy the experience.

Kayaking Perito Moreno

Your guide will provide you with the necessary equipment to enjoy this activity: a Gore-Tex dry suit, thermal suit, boots, gloves, and life jacket. You will take a short walk to the shores of Lake Argentino where you will receive safety instructions and start warming up with some exercises.

🚣 Now the adventure begins! For an hour and a half, following the guide's instructions, you will kayak on Lake Argentino in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier, approaching small icebergs that have broken off the glacier wall (floes).

Return to the meeting point

At the end of the kayak tour in the Perito Moreno, you will return to the shores of Lake Argentino. After returning the equipment, hot drinks will be offered to warm you up. Then you’ll say goodbye to your guide.

Perito Moreno Walkways & return to El Calafate

If you selected the option with hotel pick-up, after the kayaking activity you’ll return to the meeting point inside Los Glaciares National Park. From there, you'll visit the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways, where you'll have around one hour to explore and enjoy panoramic views of the glacier. Afterwards, you’ll be taken back to your accommodation in El Calafate.
