What should I wear during the tour?

During the winter we recommend you wear: warm clothes as a first layer, waterproof outdoor jacket and trousers, hiking boots with ankle protection, a hat and gloves. Make sure you don't wear jeans for the hike in the cave, once they get wet they will take a long time to dry and therefore leave you cold.

Meet the other adventurers at the Jökulsárlón lagoon parking lot, where the guide will be waiting for you along with the Super Jeep and the rest of the group.

If you haven't already done so, we recommend visiting the Diamond Beach right next to the parking lot at the beginning or end of the tour. We, recommend you to leave it for the end because the Super Jeep adventure is about to begin😏

Breiðamerkurjökull Hike

After a half hour drive through the Icelandic wilderness, you will arrive at Breiðamerkurjökull, which is a part of the Vatnajökull glacier.

Once equipped and after a few safety lessons, it's time to start your hike. For approximately 3 hours, you will explore the glacier while your guide tells you all the secrets of Vatnajökull.

Vatnajokull Glacier Excursion

Don't forget your camera because the icy landscape surrounded by mountains will leave you speechless. The ice formations and crevasses offer an ideal landscape for photography.

After hiking on the ice, you will finish our Vatnajökull adventure by returning by Super Jeep to the Jökulsárlón lagoon parking lot.
