Meeting point in Reykjavík 📍

Iceland's glacial lagoon boat tour starts with pick up in downtown Reykjavik at bus stop #12. It's time to hop on the bus and tour Iceland - the adventure begins!

Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon

After about 5 hours on the bus admiring the beautiful scenery that Iceland has to offer, we will arrive at the Fjallsárlón glacial lagoon. It is located on the glacier tongue Fjalljökull, near the Skaftafell National Park. Here we will observe the different colors of the icebergs: gray, due to volcanic ash, white and blue. Take the opportunity to take pictures and save them for your memories.

Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon

Then we will arrive at the famous Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, the jewel in Iceland's crown. It is an ice lagoon full of huge icebergs, where you will see seals that live there. Now take out your camera and capture the breathtaking beauty of the lagoon.

Amphibious boat excursion on the Jökulsárlón glacier.

Later we will be picked up at the parking lot in an amphibious vehicle and take a tour of the area as if we were on a bus. After traveling a few kilometers, it is time to enter the lagoon with the amphibious boat and navigate the Jökulsárlón glacier. This tour will last approximately 40 minutes sailing among floating icebergs and, with luck, we will be able to see the seals. We will also taste the more than 1,000 year old ice. Wait, the tour is not over yet!

Diamond Beach

Next to Jökulsárlón, we will find Diamond Beach. It is a volcanic beach of black sand full of ice blocks detached from the Vatnajökull glacier. That is why they look like diamonds that sparkle in the sun and thus make this beach known.

Stjórnarfoss Waterfall

After getting to know the Jökulsárlón area, we will get back on the bus to make our way back. We will arrive at the Stjórnarfoss waterfall, hidden in the historic town of Kirkjubaejarklaustur and observe the symmetrical waterfall divided into two stages of 213 ft each. Stop in front of this beautiful area and enjoy the sound of the water 🙂

Vík í Mýrdal village ⛪

Later we will arrive at the charming village of Vík í Mýrdal, a fishing village by the sea where we can rest and recharge our batteries. We will walk through the village and reach the wooden church located at the top of the town on a hill.
