Die Tour war superorganisiert. Tags vor dem Trail gab es abends ein kurzes Meeting, in dem alle Details besprochen wurden. Das Timing während des Ausflugs war super, sodass wir immer genügend Zeit zum Essen, Rasten, Fotos schießen und Shopping hatten und von den Menschenmassen soweit möglich verschont geblieben sind. Die Panoramazugfahrt zwischen Ollantaytambo nach Aguas Calientes ist atemberaubend. Der InkaTrail ist traumhaft schön, viel Natur und tolle Panoramablicke. Über viele Stufen kommt man zum SunGate und der erste Blick auf Machu Picchu ist jede Mühe wert. Ray, unser Guide von SAM Travel, war nicht nur sehr gut organisiert und ein sehr guter Fotograf, sondern hat uns auch noch viele tolle Informationen zu den Inka, zum Weg und der Natur geben können. Das Hotel war sehr gut, das angebotene Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet (eines der besten, die wir auf unserer Reise durch Peru hatten) und die Betten waren super. Unser Zimmer lag direkt an den Gleisen, aber das war kein Problem, da die Züge nicht die Nacht fahren. Am zweiten Tag war die Führung durch Machu Picchu und der Montaña Huayna Picchu im Plan. Leider musste ich den Aufstieg aufgrund von Sturzangst abbrechen, der Weg nach oben besteht fast nur aus Stufen, die nur zum Teil gesichert sind. Mein Partner ist den Weg bis oben gegangen, eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf Machu Picchu war sein Bonus. Alles in allem ein ganz wunderbarer Trip. Vielen Dank.

We booked this because we wanted to get a flavor of the Inca Trail and we were not disappointed! The first day of this hike is no walk in the park. The terrain is steep and unsheltered for the first couple of hours. We went in August (their winter) but the sun beating down on us that morning got us pretty dehydrated. But oh it is so worth it! The views of the Andes, the Urubamba valley, the orchids and the ruins of Winaywana are spectacular. Our tour guides were patient and very helpful. At times the steps got so steep that I had to literally climb them on my hands and feet as if I was climbing a ladder. At the end of the hike on the first day we arrived at Machu Pichu through the Inti Punku. The sight of the lost city of the Incas took my breath away and is etched forever in my mind.
Now the company and their local branch- Simon did a great job in organizing this trip for us. He met us a couple of nights before the trip and walked us through what to expect. The food and drinks on the hike were plentiful. The hotel Andimo in Aguas Calientes was small but clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed this experience so much! Can’t thank Simon and our tour guides, Jesoos and Pedro, enough!
A few thing that I want to point out:
1. Our hotel pickup was at 3:40 am. This early morning is followed by a full day of hiking over the challenging but beautiful section of the Inca Trail. So make sure you get plenty of rest and have time to acclimatize in Cusco before the tour.
2. The tour company is very generous in giving food and refreshments for the hiking day. But you have to carry your own food on the hike. It is about 10 pounds of extra weight. Of course you can return whatever you don’t want to carry but water is one of the essentials and it is heavy!
We highly recommend this tour and Simon as the local organizer for this company. We had a great time and hope that you will too!

La satisfacción general es muy buena. El guía fue excelente. Las comidas muy bien, tanto el picnic como la cena. Debería mejorarse el alojamiento en Aguas Calientes. La habitación no tenía calefacción, el baño funcionaba mal, el desayuno fue muy pobre.

Fuimos un grupo de 4 amigos a pasar el fin de semana. Solo encontramos billetes para este tour con howlander. Es una ruta larga pero muy bonita para todos y la disfrutamos. La organización muy muy buena y el guia se notaba que era oficial. Os doy las 5 strellas.

Mi mujer y yo disfrutamos de un paseo maravilloso por el tour de los incas. Costo pero valio la pena

Quedé muy contento y muy agradecido con las experiencias vividas gracias a las recomendaciones de Howlanders. Muy eficaces y muy atentos.

In the End everything worked well. 
Sadly I never got Informations about my trip from the conpany. I had to ask for, and I don‘t know what would have been if I hadn‘t. 
I never got a clear description of the tour and till the evening in aguas calientes I didn‘t know where I‘m going to sleep.
I think the tour was overpriced, since when I asked the guy from the company he was not able to tell me how the price is generated. The guid was good but sadly he couldn‘t speak english. Luckly all of us could speak spanish.. 
Transportation has been working very good.
The tour at all is recomendable. The hike is beautiful and you get into Machupicchu the day of the hike and you can take pictures with a nearly empty world wonder. The second day you get a tour and the history of th inkas will be explained.

Todo perfecto. Repetiremos seguro con howalnders. Gracias por vuestro incansable trabajo.

El tour de mi vida y la experiencia de mi vida. Los chicos de howlanders se portaron genial desde el primer contacto. Se podria mejorar el alojamiento un poco pero para el uso que le damos que era descansar y poco mas fue suficiente. Calidad precio eso si, un 10.
