Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike
During our glacier trek, we will notice a lot of ash on the ice caused by the Katla volcano. The last eruption of this volcano took place in 1918, leaving large amounts of volcanic deposits on the glacier. We will see up close deep crevasses, ice caves and natural sculptures formed by the movements of the glacier. During the hike we will make small stops to enjoy the scenery and capture some photos that will immortalize this unique experience. After an hour and a half on the glacier, we will make our way back to the meeting point where the Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike Tour will end.
